Miller Plant Limited was founded in May 1968 by Kenneth, Margaret & Frank Miller trading as K & M Miller & Son Plant Hire, at the time being primarily involved in operated Plant Hire to the Agricultural Community, Local Authorities, Construction Companies and Estates.
With the coming of the Oil Industry in North East of Scotland, the business has evolved through commercial and housing developments and various high profile Pipeline and Major Roads projects. The company has now grown to be one of the key Earthworks players in the North East of Scotland and provides the complete service to the Construction Industry. With the younger generation of the Miller family now actively involved and committed to the day to day running of the business.

Safety Training
A construction site can be one of the most dangerous environments in which any person can find him/herself. Many deaths and injuries in this industry could have been so easily avoided if the person was properly trained and safety aware.
Each time an unfortunate incident occurs, we learn something. We learn that safety awareness is first priority for each employee. We learn that each person is exposed to danger each and every day and we learn that it is our responsibility, indeed our duty, to provide the highest quality training and the highest quality of safety education available in today's market.
By doing so we are working towards a safer working environment. We are ensuring that each employee is given up to date and accurate information in order to preserve his /her wellbeing. We are ensuring that accidents and fatalities are substantially reduced and hopefully, with time and continued commitment, become a thing of the past.
That is why Miller Plant Ltd are long standing members of various training and industry specific associations such as CITB, CTA, CPCS, LANTRA and all of our machine operatives are fully qualified and certificated to these standards. Our memberships also extend to trade organisations such as SPOA, CMPE, and RTA These organisations regularly meet to discuss and act on matters such as legislation change, development of training criteria, and other issues which effect the construction, plant hire and transport industries.
Fleet Support
One of our greatest assets here at Miller Plant Ltd is our backup i.e. Fleet Support Team, who are always at hand.
Because we continually monitor machine and vehicle performance we are able to predict wear rates, we catch minor problems before they become critical failures, which in turn avoids unscheduled downtime and costs. We can then plan maintenance around our schedule of works, this puts us in complete control, it maximises productivity.
